| Welcome, one and all, to the DA page of Comix Redux! This gigantic anthology-styled OGN is the brain-child of Gregory M. Guity, which explores his and his fellow writing friend Ryan A. Brandt's love of comic books! As is true with most anthologies, COMIX REDUX follows a simple idea. In this case, COMIX REDUX sought to recapture and extrapolate the feeling of a Wednesday afternoon at the comic book shop in a single OGN Anthology. Each story in COMIX REDUX is written as though it were its own monthly title, plucked from the shelves; each exists in its own universe, with its own continuity and its own central character. If the plots have a familiar ring to them, it is because each story is centered around a conventional plot in superhero comics; a type of story that has been told repeatedly over the decades, to the point where they have almost become cliché. If the central character of each story seems recognizable, it is because each character is an analogue; an homage to those popular superheroes and superheroines for whom those plots have become second nature. The purpose of COMIX REDUX is to take those familiar plots and characters down roads less traveled in mainstream superhero comics. Humor, tragedy, adventure - all this and more will be explored in these pages, in the hopes of not only entertaining readers who enjoy these scenarios, but also show that there is still so much to the genre as a whole.
